This luxury private villa is set above the lively, chic town of Positano. It was constructued around 1700 by wealthy merchants to overlook the harbor of Positano, from where they would be able to see their ships sailing in from sea. They enlisted the services of the most famous artists of the time to fresco the ceilings and fill each room with precious furniture and artworks.
Today guests sleep in sumptuous suites decorated with exquisite antiques and period paintings but supported by the latest contemporary technology and comfort.
The Villa is available today for weekly let and weddings. The impeccable services and warm hospitality offered, combined with unique interior decor, provide a truly magical experience. Being located within walking distance to Positano,car is not necessary. Please note that this villa has staircases and may not be suitable for guests with reduced mobility.
The layout and amenities of this Villa accommodate up to 16 with grace. An additional four children can be accommodates so groups of up to 20 are welcome. The spaces indoors and out are generous and well-furnished for use by intimate groups of two or large parties dining together by candlelight with the suggestive panorama of the Amalfi Coast spreading before you. The central level is for common use, the bedrooms and baths divided on the upper and lower levels. The amenities include separate air conditioning units for the bathrooms and the bedrooms.
The outdoor spaces are generous and the pool particularly is one of a very few in Positano, providing private recreation and relaxation nearby the pool and in an upper garden dotted with mandarin and lemon fruit trees and bordered by bougainvillea and jasmine. The landscaping of every terrace and garden area is thoughtful and beautifully maintained to add to the lushness of the environment. The fruit from the garden finds its way to the breakfast table in the form of fresh squeezed juice and marmalade.
Garden Level description: a typical neighborhood staircase leads to principal entrance on the garden level. The lower level is also accessible directly from neighborhood stairs.
A main terrace with lovely grapevine pergola runs the length of the Villa and is set with both dining and living areas, seating 16 at each. From here there is a fantastic panoramic view of Positano looking west towards Capri. Multiple double doors open to dining/kitchen area and principal living room.
An adjacent terrace includes an infinity-edge pool with sun beds, an outdoor hot/cold shower and a guest bath on adjacent main terrace for convenience of those enjoying the pool.
Double doors from Main Terrace lead to double-size, vaulted dining area (open to kitchen) with antique wood tables and sideboards. Seats up to 16 in various configurations for family-style dining with comfortable upholstered chairs.

A double living room can be reached directly from dining room or main terrace. Entertainment center with plasma TV (55 cm), and Pay-per-view; three seating areas with seating for 16+; two double doors open to front terrace for seamless indoor/outdoor living.
