This 16th century historic mansion has belonged to many illustrious Florentine families over the centuries
The castle, protected by an automatic gate, is surrounded by a large, lush private park (10,000 sqm) including vineyards, olive groves, cypress trees, a vegetable garden and a fenced garden with hedges. The latter, restored in the 1930s by the the English landscape architect Cecil Pinsent, leads to the outdoor terrace, ideal setting for alfresco lunches/dinners.
Outdoor spaces, equipped with automatic lighting, are enhanced by a wonderful infinity pool (9x11 m), immersed in the greenery and from which you can enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. Near the pool are two covered pergolas, equipped with deckchairs and sun loungers.
At guests' disposal, a concierge service for exploring the charming villages of the Chianti area, such as Impruneta, Greve and Panzano,and for organiizing many fun activities (horseback ridings, cooking classes, painting classes in villa and in the typical “botteghe” in Florence, art workshop , electric bike tours) and guided visit to Florence and iits mseums.
The castle, spread over 2 floors with a charming tower, is a typical example of Tuscan aristocratic architecture and is elegantly decorated with high quality period furniture and priceless works of art. The castle is regularly renovated and refurbished, creating a wonderful mix of ancient beauty and modern facilities.
The whole property can accommodate up to 18 people for a total of 9 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms .
Ground floor: The ground floor is dedicated to the living area. After a large entrance hall, you will find 2 elegant dining rooms with wooden table. One of this was the ancient Ball room, where you can enjoy dinner, with an amazing coffered ceiling and original granite floor.
Following a spacious kitchen, characterised by vaulted ceiling and fully equipped with microwave, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, oven and coffee machine.
Besides, this floor includes 3 living/sitting rooms: the first one, with satellite TV, vaulted ceiling and direct access to the outdoor garden, ideal for alfresco meals; the second one, with coffered ceiling, Renaissance fireplace, wooden floor; the third one, with a 19th century library overlooking the garden, where guests can enjoy a read, surrounded by quiet and silence. terracotta floor.e bathroom available with shower.
First floor: The first floor, accessible by climbing an ornate staircase, is dedicated to the sleeping area. You will find, in fact, 3 spacious bedrooms, all equipped with air conditioning and composed as follows: 1 double with ensuite bathroom with shower; 1 twin with ensuite bathroom with bathtub; 1 double with fireplace and ensuite bathroom with shower and bathtub.
Second floor: The second floor is dedicated to the sleeping area and consists of:
1 double bedroom with air conditioning, fireplace and ensuite bathroom with shower; 2 adjoining twin bedrooms (both convertible to double,), sharing a bathroom with shower and bathtub; a suite with double bed, refined 18th century decorations and large bathroom with a bathtub and a large shower and double sinks. This room as well as the bathroom overlook the garden boasting wonderful views over the rolling Chianti hills.
Moreover, at guests' disposal a sitting room equipped with treadmill, overlooking a loggia above the garden.
Tower: In the Medieval tower is located : 1 sitting room with fairplace; 1 double bedroom with bathroom (shower), air conditioning and terracotta floor.
And the last 2 twin bedroom (convertible to double) with ensuite bathroom with both bathtub and shower.
