Located in a small village in the very heart of Chianti classico, you find this restored ancient house next to the church, preserving its original features including the beamed ceilings and stunning frescoes on the walls. It is an extraordinary property with a deep history. Distributed over two floors, it is filled with period furnishings. On the ground floor you find a living-room with satellite TV, a second living-room with sofas and fireplace, a reading room, a fully equipped kitchen, a dining-room with table seating eight people, 1 downstairs bathroom, 1 twin bedroom with bathroom and shower(accessed via 4 steps).
The first floor bedrooms have air conditioning, but there is no need for AC on the ground floor due to the very thick old walls. The kitchen has a dishwasher, two refrigerators and many other accessories. There is WI-FI internet connection throughout the house and a flat screen satellite TV. The functional and elegant bathrooms are realized in Tuscan travertine.
Outside you will enjoy a beautiful private garden with areas for relaxing, a terrace with table and chairs seating eight people for eating “al fresco” surrounded by views of the Chianti hills, and a barbecue. The garden also features a panoramic whirlpool swimming pool (5 x 3 m), with the possibility of heating the water.

The house lies in the heart of Chianti Classico area close to many castles, of which one of the most famous is the Castello di Brolio and some extremely old and interesting churches and abbeys. Some of the churches date back to mediaeval times, in particular the untouched romanesque parish churches such as the nearby Pieve di Spaltenna. Among the former abbeys in the area, the most famous and photogenic is Badia a Coltibuono and its restored classical Italian garden. Among the nearby towns and villages of interest are Volpaia, a village now almost entirely given over to wine production and home to several good restaurants and the charming wine town of Radda in Chianti. The landscape, recognisable as the background of countless Renaissance Madonnas, remains relatively unspoiled, dotted with ancient farmhouses which have been beautifully restored. The cities of Florence and Siena harbour almost too many familiar cultural references, but medieval hill-top villages such as Montalcino and Pienza seem completely untouched by time. Foodies will rejoice at the superlative Tuscan food and wine on offer in the many restaurants and wine bars.
